Biden 'fuming' at Obama as pressure mounts for him to step aside | LBC analysis

Vanessa Feltz and Simon Marks discuss reports that US President Joe Biden is reportedly "fed up" and "irritated" with Democratic allies, including Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi, for urging him to step down from the presidential race.

The New York Times writes that Biden, who is recovering from COVID-19, is frustrated with party leaders who are concerned about his age and fitness.

It comes as several Democrats have voiced their opposition to Biden's nomination, following his underwhelming performance in the first presidential debate.

'He is fuming about the role that these two former allies are playing to oust him from power', says Marks.

He adds that the Democrats are in 'internecine warfare that by the hour is intensifying', as the pressure heats up on Biden to 'bow out'.
