Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor Md Yunus enjoys warm hug with US President Joe Biden in New York
US President Biden met with Bangladeshi Chief Adviser Md Yunus on September 24. He congratulated him on his recent appointment as the head of the interim government. Both leaders affirmed the close partnership between the United States and Bangladesh. President Biden welcomed further engagement between the two governments. He offered continued U.S. support as Bangladesh implements its new reform agenda. The meeting highlights the commitment to collaboration between the two nations. Md Yunus spoke about how the students rose against the "tyranny of the previous government". Meanwhile, Md Yunus met Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the sidelines of UNGA. Earlier, Md Yunus arrived at the official hotel in New York for the 79th UNGA Session. He was given a special welcome as Bangladeshi nationals protested against him outside the hotel. Protesters raised slogans against Yunus saying, he is a ‘Hindu Killer’ and ‘Father of terrorists’
