Во время дежурства в отделении неотложной скорой помощи привозят наркомана с передозировкой. После введения лекарства медсестра Вики Роджерс (Винесса Шоу) случайно уколола себя грязной иглой.
Так она, мать двоих детей, получает заражение ВИЧ. Она обращается в частную контору к адвокатам, занимающихся именно делами производственных травм, Майк Вайсу (Крис Эванс) и Полу Данцигеру (Марк Кассен). Самое странное, что пострадавшая, медленно умирающая от СПИДа, хочет не иск предъявить больнице, а помочь её другу Маршалу Беллу, который изобрел одноразовый безопасный шприц.
Он пытается оснастить таким устройством больницы страны, чтобы защитить медицинских работников от того, что случилось с Вики. Но медицинские администрации, знающие об постоянной опасности врачей, вынуждены пользоваться услугами только «Организацией групповых закупок» (GPO), которая закупает расходные материалы для множества больниц. Коррумпированная фирма препятствует закупке хороших инновационных продуктов, поскольку это может привести к потере их основными поставщиками прибыльного рынка.
Вайс и Данцигер быстро попадают в огромное антимонопольное дело и оказываются в очень опасной ситуации — ведь за коррупционерами стоят важные люди и большие деньги. Данцигер хочет прекратить дело, но Вайс настаивает на продолжении. При всей внешной импозантности и остром уме, он — наркоман.
Помимо своего крестового похода от имени безопасных игл, у него практически нет никаких личных ценностей, поскольку жена оставила его, семьи у него нет, а он проводит большую часть своего свободного времени в компании проституток и принимая ударные дозы наркотиков.

Well, talk about disappointment. I'd hoped Alex Garland's new thriller would have given us a gripping story filled with interesting characters, but instead what we got was a bland, empty collection of scenes with no strong story to tie them together. What a wasted opportunity.

This is my Civil War Movie Review!

A24’s Civil War, directed by Alex Garland, is already the most controversial movie of 2024. Civil War depicts a fictional United States of America that is literally divided, and follows photojournalists documenting the Civil War as they travel around the country.

Civil War is the scariest movie of the year, which shouldn’t be a surprise considering this is an A24 movie directed by Alex Garland, but it is not as political as people are making it out to be.

So in this Civil War movie review (or video essay if you prefer that), I will be diving into Why Civil War is so good, Why Civil War is kind of bad, and why people who think Civil War (the movie) sucks are probably a little biased.
