The ANC's majority has slumped below 40% with over 96% of the vote capturing completed.

There have been winners and losers in this year's national and provincial elections.
With the ANC enduring an electoral decline from just over 57 percent in 2019 to this year current turnout of more than 40 percent.
Analysts have attributed many factors to the ruling party's decline, including the formation of the Umkhonto We Sizwe Party under the leadership of former President, Jacob Zuma and the increased number of new and small parties that have contested in this year's elections.
