Joe Biden has withdrawn from the 2024 presidential race, leaving Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s most likely nominee. As per Decision Desk HQ’s latest average, Harris trails Donald Trump by 2.7% based on 68 polls, which is pretty much right on par with where Biden polled against Trump prior to dropping out.

Democrats continue to hold a double-digit lead over Republicans in a generic Congressional ballot among likely voters, according to a new CNN Poll conducted by SSRS. The party's 55% to 42% advantage in the new poll mirrors their lead in early October and is about the same as the 10-point edge they held just after Labor Day.

"This was a very bad night for Joe Biden," Jon Karl told David Muir.

"You are starting to hear, privately, discussions among Democrats about whether Biden can go on with this campaign."
